US Ambassador Condemns Hakkari Attacks

I have been shocked by the news reports today from Hakkari of terrorist violence that has claimed many dead and wounded. The victims’ families and loved ones deserve our deepest condolences. I conveyed my sadness to the Foreign Ministry today. I am committed to working with Turkey and Turkish authorities to eliminate the PKK terrorist threat to the people of Turkey. Ending this cycle of violence is a goal that unites us.
