The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The Agricultural Counselor and staff of the Office of Agricultural Affairs at the American Embassy in Ankara are responsible for representing the interests of USDA in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan. The mission of FAS is to expand opportunities for U.S. food, agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products and to promote world food security.
