Korhan Basaran Contemporary Dance Workshops

New York based dance artist and artistic director Korhan Basaran, following his performances in Istanbul, will be in Ankara with the support of the US Embassy for workshops. During his four days stay he will be teaching and sharing his New York experiences with young dancers at METU and Ankara University.

Korhan Basaran's works since his arrival in NY such as "Elegy","Seeking Beauty", "Nonetheless", "K's Search for L", "The Second Elegy" has been performed in prestigious venues such as the Cunningham Studio, Baryshnikov Center, Baruch Performing Arts Center, The Beacon Theater, STEPS on Broadway, Peridance etc.. His gala performance premiered in June 2011 "I am Korhan, this is my dance" was premiered at the by the end of June where he has received favorable review from the NY Times and other sources. He is in the faculty of STEPS and Peridance and teaches as a guest at DNA. He is also the artistic director of his own company 'Korhan Basaran and Dancers'.
