New U.S. Nonimmigrant Visa Application Process Introduced in Turkey Starting February 1st, 2010

The United States Government has introduced a new online application process for travelers seeking nonimmigrant visas for the United States. This new application process will be used in Turkey starting February 1st, 2010.
All travelers applying in Turkey for U.S. nonimmigrant visas must submit the new Online Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application, Form DS-160, via the internet at least two business days before their visa interviews.
The new form includes information previously collected by various paper application forms, allows applicants to submit the form electronically in advance, and provides for a more streamlined application process.
The application allows the applicant to upload a digital visa photograph from a personal computer. Upon completion of the DS-160, the applicant will print a confirmation page, which they will bring to their interview appointment.
