U.S. Ambassador to the IAEA to Visit Ankara  February 16-17, 2006  

Ankara, February 14, 2006. 

Ambassador Greg Schulte, Permanent Representative of the United States to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), will visit Ankara February 16-17 for consultations with Turkish officials regarding Iran’s efforts to acquire nuclear weapons and international diplomatic measures to resolve the issue.  The talks represent a continuation of the intense dialogue and cooperation between the United States and Turkey on a broad range of issues of mutual concern. 

Ambassador Schulte will be available to answer questions from the media following his meetings with Turkish Foreign Ministry officials on February 17.  Journalists are invited to contact the Embassy press office for further details.
