Ankara, April 1, 2008
From April 14-16, Istanbul, Turkey will host the largest U.S. trade delegation ever to visit Turkey. Over 60 U.S. companies will participate in the “Trade Winds Europe” Conference, which has been organized by the Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce, with the support of U.S. and Turkish companies and business organizations.
The conference will address various aspects of doing business in Turkey and throughout the rest of Europe. The three-day event will culminate on April 16 with a day of one-on-one meetings between the participating companies and prospective Turkish partners. Extremely high interest among U.S. firms reflects the increased visibility of Turkey as a growing economic power and as a viable partner for companies wishing to trade with Europe, Eurasia and the Middle East.
The Conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Istanbul, will include companies representing a diverse range of business sectors, including construction & building materials; aviation; energy; transportation; medical; environmental technologies; defense; safety & security; software; mining; telecommunications; and automotive, among others.
