Ambassador Wilson to Attend Opening of TAA Language School
Ankara, April 27, 2007
U.S. Ambassador Ross Wilson will participate in the opening ceremony of the Çayyolu Turkish American Association (TAA) Language School at 5 pm on Friday, April 27. As part of its efforts to provide equal opportunity in education the TAA is opening more language schools. In December 2006 TAA opened a branch office in Konya. The Çayyolu center is the first branch in Ankara. Plans are underway for two additional schools in Bahçelievler – Ankara and Denizli.
Established in 1951, the TAA has been offering foreign language courses in Ankara for 56 years. Looking forward to the next 50 years, the TAA has set new objectives: improve educational programs, achieve technological superiority in education, and place special emphasis on cultural exchange programs. The opening of Çayyolu TAA Language School is a continuation of one of the major goals of the TAA.
