U.S. Condemns PKK Attack, Applauds Calls for Ending Violence

The United States condemns the recent terrorist attack in Hakkari that killed six Turkish soldiers. Our heartfelt condolences go to the families of the victims of this attack. We will continue our cooperation with Turkey against PKK terrorism. We are also encouraged by the constructive statements by Turkish leaders calling for an end to violence and a commitment to resolve differences through peaceful means.
