US Embassy Statement

Ankara, August 29, 2006 

The US Embassy condemns the recent terrorist bombings in Adana, Istanbul, Marmaris and Antalya. We wish to convey our sympathy to the families of these victims in Turkey, the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

We reiterate our strong condemnation of all terrorist groups, including the PKK. The US stands united with its ally, Turkey, in the fight against terrorism.  We once again call on the PKK to unconditionally cease its terrorist actions.
