US Military to Sponsor Training Seminar on US Military Contracts for Tenders in Iraq

Ankara. October 2, 2006

The Department of the Army in Washington D.C., the Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy, and the U.S. Army Contracting Command, with the support of the Turkish Contractors Association, will organize a training seminar on U.S. military contracts for tenders in Iraq and other procurement tenders October 16-17 in Ankara and October 19-20 in Istanbul.

The seminar is designed to teach contracting procedures to firms interested in upcoming business opportunities by US Contracting Command and U.S. Air Force with special emphasis on Iraq.  The seminar is to be conducted by instructors from the Department of the Army in Washington D.C. and the U.S. Army Contracting Command.  Within the scope of the seminar, guidelines related to U.S. Government tenders are also explained to the participants.

The seminars will take place at the Ankara Hilton Hotel on October 16-17 and the Istanbul Conrad Hotel on October 19-20.  The Turkish Contractors Association will carry out the registration of business people interested in this seminar.
