U.S. Delegation Going to Azerbaijan to Increase Caspian Bilateral Business Partnerships

Eleven Turkey-based U.S. companies and business associations departed for Baku, Azerbaijan today to facilitate U.S. Turkish business partnership in the region. The U.S. Executive Business Development Mission to Azerbaijan, organized by AMCHAM Turkey/American Business Forum in Turkey and the Turkish American Business Association and certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce, will explore trade and investment opportunities with Azerbaijan. The two day program (November 25- 26) will feature briefings with Azpromo, the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan, and the U.S. and Turkish Embassies in Baku. The delegation will hold over forty private meetings with key Azeri government officials and business executives.
“U.S. and Turkish companies have long partnered in third markets, bringing technology, know-how and finance to projects throughout the region,” commented U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, Francis J. Ricciardone. “This public-private sector initiative will support U.S. and Turkish firms’ business development efforts in Azerbaijan, a growing market for U.S. goods and services.”
This U.S. Executive Business Development Mission, drawing from firms in the chemicals, consumer goods, renewable and traditional energy, and technology sectors will include:

- Norris Production Solutions
- Procter & Gamble
- Turkish American Business Association
