During his Istanbul trip to attend MIT's Global Startup Workshop opening ceremony, Ambassador Ricciardone took some time to watch the first match of EuroLeague Women Final 8 -  Galalatasaray Medical Park (Turkey) vs Rivas Ecopolis (Spain) with the President of Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and Secretary General Ali Özsoy at Abdi İpekçi Arena.

Ambassador Ricciardone also had the opportunity to meet with American team members playing for Galatasaray. He said that it's pleasing to see the coordinated work of two countries in the field of sport as in many other areas and wished success to all the participating teams
