Our American Consular Agent Ms. Guliz Balsari serves American Citizens in west and southwest Turkey. She is able to accept applications for United States passports, accept applications for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, notarize documents, and assist in case of the illness, arrest, disappearance, or death of an American citizen. The Consular Agency in Izmir covers regions of Aydin, Denizli, Izmir, Manisa, Mugla, and Usak.

Visa services, including forms and information, are not available at the Consular Agency. Information and visa application forms are available on the Embassy website at Ankara.usembassy.gov. Visa applicants should continue calling 212-340-4444 to receive information and schedule an appointment for a visa interview in Ankara or Istanbul.

The Consular Agency will be open on Mondays and Tuesdays by appointments only for routine services such as passport applications and notarials. Passport applicants will be forwarded to Ankara for final processing so passport applicants should allow 15-25 days for processing.
