The Brookings Institution 
The Brookings Institution is an independent, nonpartisan organization devoted to research, analysis, education, and publication focused on public policy issues in the areas of economics, foreign policy, and governance.

Battelle Institute 
Battelle serves industry and government in developing new technologies and products. 

Cato Institute 
It is a non-profit public policy research foundation headquartered in Washington, D.C.

CBIAC 
Established in 1986, the CBIAC serves as the Department of Defense focal point for information related to Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) technology.

Center for Defense Information (CDI) 
Former senior military personnel, educators, and public officials. Seeks to make independent, informed analyses of U.S. defense policies available to journalists, scholars, government officials, and the general public; support a strong but not excessive defense posture; eliminate waste in military spending; reduce military influence on U.S. domestic and foreign policies; work to avoid nuclear war. Offers internships; produces a TV program, America's Defense Monitor. Conducts research and specialized education programs; sponsors seminars. Maintains speakers' bureau on a variety of military issues.

Federation of American Scientists
The Federation of American Scientists is a nonprofit organization founded in 1945 as the Federation of Atomic Scientists. FAS' strategies include advocacy, briefings with policy makers and the press, public education and outreach, collaboration with civil rights, human rights, and arms control groups, and grassroots organizing.

Index to Military Periodicals
The Air University Library Index to Military Periodicals (AULIMP) is a searchable database of citations to "significant articles, news items, and editorials from English language military and aeronautical periodicals." Full-text articles from ten of the journals indexed are available and the journal Web sites are linked in the citation. Updated quarterly. You can also browse by subject.

Military Education and Research Library Network (MERLN) 
"Offers the combined resources of the largest and most comprehensive collections of military information resources in the world." MERLN provides access to the library catalogs at each branch of the armed forces' academies and war colleges. It also has links to the Digital National Security Archive, the Declassified Documents Reference System, and the collected papers of Admiral Richard Bates.

This site lists new and reissued books on military subjects published in the current month. Each entry has title, author, and standard publishing information. Some listings also have short descriptions of the book's content and brief author notes. Previous months' listings are archived.

U.S. Army War College Library 
Library is a graduate-level special academic library enabling the College's educational, research and strategic communications missions. It also serves as a primary research and information resource for organizations and individuals outside of Carlisle Barracks and the Army, including Congress, DoD, other federal agencies, universities and colleges, the media and individual researchers and writers.
