The American Citizens Services Unit Will Be Closed To The Public November 23 - December 3, 2006.
The American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit of the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara provides services related to passport and report of birth applications, registrations, notarials, child custody issues, information on overseas voting and tax filing, and emergency assistance.
Due to a renovation of the Consular offices, the ACS Unit in Ankara will be closed to the public starting November 23 through December 3, 2006. Normal business will resume on December 4, 2006. If you have an emergency during this time you can reach consular officials by calling the Embassy switchboard at 312-455-5555. Routine services will be available at the Consulate General in Istanbul and the Consulate in Adana during these dates.
The ACS Unit’s normal hours of operation are 8:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday through Thursday. The Unit is closed to the public afternoons Monday - Thursday and all day on Friday, as well as on American and Turkish public holidays.
