Mark Wentworth, Public Affairs Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, spoke to a group of senior students at the department of political science at the Middle East Technical University on the U.S. elections: primaries/caucuses, political parties, the electoral college, campaigning, and the selection of candidates.

He also gave an overview of the political and economic picture of the U.S. This discussion provided the students a better understanding of the U.S. elections system.
